December update from Jamie’s Farm Lewes

It is certainly looking a lot like Christmas at Jamie’s Farm Lewes! A flurry of snow has carpeted the farm and has made The South Downs look even more beautiful than usual. Our final few visits of the year have added to our sense of festive fun, with our visiting young people helping to deck out our house ready for Christmas.

In the final week of November, we welcomed a fabulous group from Brakenhale School, who cracked on with everything we asked of them throughout the week and worked incredibly hard – we loved having them here. Our final visit of 2022 was from Heathside School, a new partner for us at Jamie’s Farm, and a school that we are already looking forward to welcoming back! We shared a particularly memorable evening around the bonfire on a freezing evening with the group, including an incredibly enthusiastic singsong.

It’s been a busy time out on the farm – our cattle are now in for the winter, and our recent sheep scanning has filled us with excitement as we look forward to welcoming a lot of lambs to the farm in the spring!  Bring on 2023! We’re also excited to welcome some new faces to our team in the New Year, and will look forward to introducing them to you and our visiting young people in 2023.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, from all of us here at JF Lewes!  Â
