Jamie’s Farm, Lewes
Welcome to the farm
Our fourth rural site, Allington Farm, opened in 2019. Nestled at the foot of the South Downs National Park, it offers stunning, far-reaching views. The farm includes 210 acres of grass and woodland, creating a varied environment for both our animals and young people to enjoy.
This is the first of our farms to operate on a lease model and has allowed us to bring Jamie’s Farm to the South East. The site comprises of a traditional Sussex farmhouse with a homely and colourful interior, sitting next to our pond housing ducks and a local heron. Livestock includes our herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle, Lleyn and Suffolk ewes, chickens, Large White pigs and our naughty goats. We also enjoy the company of our two horses called Toffee and Squidge.
Meet the team
From those who have visited Jamie’s Farm Lewes
“Getting involved with other children in the group has allowed Pippa to come out of her shell more…”
“…and show her true self as a funny, caring and witty individual, stepping out of her comfort zone and pushing herself with activities she wasn’t sure of initially has really helped (chicken feeding, herding cows, and feeding pigs, etc.). By working as a group and engaging with people she wouldn’t normally at school, it has improved her self-confidence and shown her that people accept and like who she is as a person.”
“Taylor has benefitted greatly from the interactions, activities and experiences during her stay at Jamie’s Farm…”
“… I have great confidence in Taylor being able to maintain some of these habits from the farm and with continued support, I believe Taylor will have better interactions at school both with fellow students and staff members.”
“Jamie’s Farm has had a huge impact on Evan within our group…”
“…over the course of the week he has become more confident, interactive (with adults and peers) and as a result has got more involved in social group activities – including singing round the camp fire.”
