Our first Cultivating Change webinar took place in October, posing the question; ‘How can schools best navigate the mental health crisis?’. Over 140 people registered and it turned out to be an engaging discussion, during which our panel of mental health and education experts came together to talk about the best ways to support young people who might be struggling. Tony Searle (Principal of Hans Price Academy) spoke passionately about his school’s approach to creating a culture of care for all pupils and Rebecca Boomer Clake (CEO of Academies Enterprise Trust) contributed her thoughts about the importance of supporting teachers too, remarking; “We deserve to reclaim the joy in teaching”.
Facilitated by Jake Curtis, the panel included:
Sarah Brennan OBE, Former CEO of Young Minds and children’s mental wellbeing expert
Tony Searle, Headteacher at Hans Price Academy
Tish Feilden, Co-Founder and Director of Methodology at Jamie’s Farm
Rebecca Boomer-Clark, CEO Academies Enterprise Trust
