Patrick Holden

Patrick Holden CBE is a farmer, author, and internationally recognised advocate for sustainable food and farming systems. As Founder and CEO of the Sustainable Food Trust, he works to accelerate the transition to resilient, regenerative agriculture worldwide. Former Director of the Soil Association, he played a leading role in developing the UK organic movement and expanding organic standards and markets. Patrick has farmed organically for over 50 years at his family’s dairy farm in Wales, producing award-winning raw milk cheddar. He currently leads work on land-use sustainability for the Sustainable Markets Initiative and remains a prominent voice in shaping the future of food and farming.
