Mark graduated from the City of Bath College, and went on to work in the family business, Roper Rhodes Ltd, for thirty years of operation, running the business with his brother, Paul, and serving as the company chairman. He is also a philanthropist, board member of the Bath Percent Club and most recently has been a Councillor for the Liberal Democrats.
