James is Farm Manager at Monmouth which means he is responsible for all the farming activities that happen on our beautiful site perched on the border between England and Wales. James can often be found looking after the land, caring for the animals, tinkering with machinery and fixing things!
Being in the woods is James’ happy place which is lucky as the Forrest of Dean is right on the farm’s doorstep, he enjoys walking his dog Luna or riding his bike through the trees. He loves sharing this magical space with the visiting young people who love it too!
James hasn’t always been a farmer and has worked in a variety of different jobs before deciding a career outdoors was for him. He’s inspired by the variety that every new day on the farm brings and the opportunity to share his experiences to inspire and support others.
