On the farm, I spend lots of time getting to know the young people who visit us. I love seeing the farm through their eyes—noticing things I’ve never seen before, hearing their ideas, and learning from them too. Having always lived in cities, being on the farm is completely outside my comfort zone. Each week, the young people who visit challenge me to be braver and more open to new experiences.
You’ll find me out on a walk and chat, painting or crafting in a beautiful spot on the farm, cooking in the kitchen, taking care of our animals, or spending time with our farm dog, Bob, who loves making new friends!
The best part of my role is seeing young people grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and show just how kind, caring, and capable they are.
