Ben grew up in Buckinghamshire before studying Marine Biology & Zoology at Bangor University, North Wales. Ben went on to work behind the scenes in secondary schools across the North West for over 15 years, but it was whilst on a residential trip to Jamie’s Farm Monmouth that he had an epiphany and realised he wanted to work more directly with children and young people.
Ben has volunteered across all the farm sites with diverse groups of young people, including a cohort of Jamie’s Farm Ambassadors. Living in the North, Ben jumped at the chance to help out at the new Skipton farm, where he gets involved in a little bit of everything – loving nothing more than sharing his passion for nature with visiting young people in truly breathtaking surroundings.
