At Jamie’s Farm, we are always innovating to support over 2,300 children and young people each year. It takes significant funds to keep our six (soon to be seven) farms running smoothly, and we’re thrilled to announce a new development to help us achieve this.
Introducing the Farmer’s Cabins at Jamie’s Farm Monmouth, designed by architect and long-standing trustee, Roderick James. These beautiful new assets will provide a sustainable income stream, reducing our reliance on fundraising and building long-term resilience. The income generated from this accommodation will ensure this beautiful farm runs in surplus as opposed to an operating deficit, a significant step for the charity in guaranteeing our financial sustainability.
If this pilot is successful, we will roll out this approach to our other farms. We are hugely grateful to the Sarah Jane Leigh Charitable Trust which has, with their innovative model of supporting this capital project, invested in the long-term success of Jamie’s Farm.
“When staying in the cabins, our guests will be gently introduced to principles of carbon neutral construction and Regenerative Farming. Enjoying stunning views towards Sugar Loaf and the Usk Valley, their stay will generate funds for Jamie’s Farm for years to come.”

“The sense of passion during our incredible visit to Jamie’s Farm in November 2023 was palpable. We left feeling enthused and inspired to not only continue our partnership but think of ways we could support the farm in a self-sustaining way.
The idea of generating sustainable funds by supporting the pilot development of an all year round, luxury eco rental Farmer’s Cabin in Monmouth felt like the perfect fit! We are so excited about this project, estimated to bring in £56,000 of annual revenue. What better way to join forces and contribute to the long lasting legacy of my cousin Sarah Jane Leigh!”
