Volunteers are extremely valuable in all that we do, and enable us to keep transforming the lives of vulnerable young people across the UK. We have a number of ways you can volunteer with us. Please see the listings further below and use this form available here to apply.

Unfortunately we are not able to accept any Volunteers or Work Experience placements at present due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Please sign up to our monthly newsletter where we will post updates on our volunteer programme. Please email if you have any questions.

Regular volunteers

We occasionally have regular volunteer roles working alongside young people, such as in the garden, kitchen or with horses, or in the office. The best way to hear about these opportunities is to sign up to our newsletter. We currently need volunteers at our city farm in Waterloo London – you will need to commit to 6 weeks at a time, please find further details below.

Event volunteers

Our events provide some of the best opportunities to volunteer and add value – they raise vital awareness and income for the charity. We have a busy event calendar at Jamie’s Farm including Open Days and challenge events. This is a fun way to informally meet the team and get involved:

“Thank you for letting me be part of such an amazing event. It was a pleasure to be able to be involved. I could wax lyrical about the people, the atmosphere, the setting and the food but it is all compliments you will have heard before. I just consider myself fortunate to have been there.”  Cock & Bull volunteer 2016

Residential volunteers

For a one-off week as a residential visit volunteer, you will be involved in all the activities alongside the young people as well as helping with washing up, keeping the place tidy and going on our daily walks. This offers great CPD for education professionals (or those interested in education) by experiencing our programme methodology in depth. All food and accommodation is provided for the week, and available at our Bath, Hereford and Monmouth farms.  Our Lewes farm does not currently have accommodation available, but welcomes anyone who has access to local accommodation.

“I genuinely think you guys are doing a near perfect job, and I found my week with you extremely valuable (so much so that I decided to pursue a new career in teaching!)”
