Creating Change for Vulnerable Teens

“I am delighted to be able to share my experiences from our farms and the remarkable young people we work with. Throughout the book, I wanted to showcase the approaches we champion, including the critical importance of trust, of looking behind the behaviour and of really connecting with the desires and hopes of young people.” Tish Feilden, author and Co-Founder of Jamie’s Farm.

We are delighted to announce the release of Tish Feilden’s debut book ‘Creating Change for Vulnerable Teens’.

Tish is our Lead Therapist at Jamie’s Farm and coordinates and leads on all therapeutic aspects of each visiting individual and group. Tish co-founded Jamie’s Farm with her son Jamie in 2009 with the aim of supporting young people who have low self-esteem, poor behaviour or who are at risk of exclusion. She began her career as a mainstream teacher, specialising in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties, before becoming a psychotherapist working with adolescents and their families.

Tish’s book documents her experiences of working with truly remarkable teens who have faced huge challenges in their lives. She hopes it will support and empower anyone working with children by helping them understand the behaviours children display and to recognise when children may be flagging up something more significant beneath the surface.

The book is available to buy via Waterstones and Amazon.
