As the summer term gets into full swing, Jamie’s Farm Waterloo is buzzing with new faces, new energy, and new opportunities to grow — both for the young people we support and the animals that call the farm home.
Welcoming New Schools and Programmes
We’ve had a wonderfully busy start to the term, launching five new day visit programmes in April. We’re thrilled to be working with Marylebone Boys School, Newman Catholic College, and Paddington Academy in partnership with AllChild, as well as welcoming Haringey Learning Partnership and Oasis South Bank Academy to the farm for the first time.
Later this term, we’re also excited to host a special one-off visit from Glebe School, made possible through our partnership with Football Beyond Borders. It’s a real privilege to be expanding our reach and welcoming such a diverse group of young people to the farm.
New Lambs Bring New Joy
In early April, we welcomed three young lambs from our Bath farm — all born in February and now thriving in their new Waterloo home. These playful new arrivals have quickly settled in and are already bringing joy and gentle companionship to both young people and volunteers.

Stories That Stay With Us
We recently heard from a school that had just completed a six-week programme at the farm. One student’s grandmother shared how the experience had transformed her granddaughter’s day-to-day life:
“She came in all smiles, said she’d had a great day and asked if I wanted something to drink. Usually, she goes straight to her room and doesn’t talk to me.”
Moments like these remind us that the impact of a day at the farm often reaches far beyond the farm gates.
More Than a Farm
Alongside our educational programmes, the farm continues to be a vibrant community space. This spring, we’re hosting a range of events, from weddings and private celebrations to corporate team days.
And for something a little different, we’re excited to welcome back the Handlebards, the brilliant cycling theatre troupe, who will perform Much Ado About Nothing here on the evening of Friday 23rd May. Bring a blanket, grab your ticket, and join us for an evening of Shakespeare in the city: Book here.
