Jo was brought up on a working family farm near Brecon and considers herself very lucky to have spent a fun filled childhood in a beautiful setting. Graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in Music, she then completed a PGCE and qualified as a teacher.
Jo taught for over twenty years, working in a variety of Welsh primary schools. For the latter part of her teaching career, she worked in an inner-city school in Cardiff. Her main responsibilities included leading Additional Learning Needs and Family/Community Engagement across the school.
Jo believes that every child deserves to be given the opportunity to reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment, where learning experiences are engaging and fulfilling. Jo is committed to work with the Jamie’s Farm team to enable individuals to thrive through our Farming, Family, Therapy and Legacy intervention.
