At Jamie’s Farm Bath, we’re offering an opportunity for a proactive and organised Events Coordinator to deliver and support the planning of inspiring events that engage supporters and raise vital funds to help young people thrive. You’ll lead on a variety of fundraising and engagement activities – from supporter suppers to volunteer days – playing a key role in strengthening relationships and growing our community of supporters.
As part of our close-knit, values-driven team, you’ll enjoy the variety and satisfaction of organising meaningful events, working with supporters, partners and colleagues from across the charity. This flexible, freelance role (equivalent to three days per week) offers the chance to combine creativity and organisation with genuine social impact, all within a friendly and supportive rural setting.

Garden and Kitchen Volunteer –
Lower Shockerwick
Join us in the garden and/or kitchen at our beautiful countryside farm.
We are looking for a few passionate and reliable volunteers to support us in the vegetable garden, orchard, flower beds and polytunnel, or to help in the kitchen at our Lower Shockerwick site, just outside Bath.
Most of the time you will be working independently or alongside another volunteer, but there may also be opportunities to work with a member of the Jamie’s Farm team and our visiting young people.

Volunteer Role: Log Processing Volunteer (with Chainsaw Experience) –
Bath
Location: Jamie’s Farm, Hill House, Bath
Commitment: 1 day per week (preferably weekdays)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a practical, reliable volunteer to help process logs for use in our sessions with young people on the farm. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values the therapeutic power of nature and wants to make a meaningful impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Cross-cutting and preparing logs using a chainsaw
- Ensuring wood is safely processed for use in sessions
- Working closely with the Farm and Programmes teams
- Following our Health & Safety policy and record-keeping procedures
Requirements:
- A valid Cross-Cutting certification (chainsaw qualification)
- Confidence using a chainsaw safely and independently
- Willingness to adhere to Jamie’s Farm safety protocols
- Friendly, dependable, and happy to work outdoors in all weathers.
Equipment:
You are welcome to use your own chainsaw and PPE, but we’ll need to assess it to ensure it meets safety standards. Alternatively, we can provide equipment as needed.
