Four young people stood amongst a heard of dark brown cows. It is a sunny day and rolling countryside hills are set behind them.

How we farm

Why regenerative farming?

At Jamie’s Farm, we farm in ways that restore land and strengthen young people. We are on a journey to transition all of our farms to regenerative agriculture.

By adopting a long-term, evidence-based approach, our aim is to lead the way in farming that is regenerative and economically sustainable, whilst at the same time achieving transformative social outcomes.

We are keen to connect with partners who share our vision for regeneration. If you would like to learn more about our approach and how you might support this work, please get in touch.

Living soils – Diverse pastures and herbal leys feed soil life, improve fertility, store carbon and hold water.

Grazing with nature – Mob and rotational grazing improve pasture growth, animal health and resilience while reducing inputs.

Improving habitats – Hedgerows, buffer strips and mixed habitats support wildlife and strengthen whole-farm systems.

Flood prevention – Healthier soils absorb rainfall better, reducing erosion and flood risk.

Fewer inputs, stronger systems – Healthy soils and livestock means no use of fertilisers or herbicides, with reduced usage of antibiotics and bought-in feed.

Renewable energy – Solar and biomass reduce emissions and costs — and provide meaningful, hands-on work for young people.

At a glance

Our regenerative transition is already underway – setting clear baselines, tracking soil, biodiversity, animal health and costs, and embedding what works across all farms so we can share clear evidence with others.
