Jamie’s Farm, Brixton

Welcome to the farm

After an incredible 10 years running our Waterloo city farm in collaboration with Oasis, we are delighted to share that this isn’t the end. We are very excited about the opportunity to continue our presence in the city by moving to pastures new in Brixton.

Jamie’s Farm is entering an exciting new chapter in London. Following the closure of our much-loved Waterloo site last October, which supported over 1,300 young people through transformative day-visit programmes, we are proud to be continuing this vital work in partnership with Oasis.

Together, we are developing a new urban farm at Oasis St Martin’s Village in Brixton, part of the UK’s first “Youth Hub,” inspired by the belief that it takes a village to raise a child. This innovative setting will bring together a range of organisations to support young people and their families to thrive, and we are currently progressing towards full planning approval, with a vision to open a fully operational city farm by 2027, complete with more animals and a beautifully designed urban oasis.

In the meantime, we are already welcoming schools to take part in our growing programme of day visits. We are currently running smaller-scale programmes with groups of young people, typically over 1–3 weekly visits, offering a meaningful and hands-on experience.

Young people are actively shaping the space, helping to develop new garden areas, building structures, cultivating plants, and caring for the smaller animals on site. Early partners, including Football Beyond Borders, have already seen the impact of this work, with staff describing powerful moments of growth: for many young people, even a first interaction with animals like chickens can spark newfound confidence and curiosity. These visits offer a unique opportunity for students to step outside the classroom, build resilience, and feel a sense of ownership over a developing space, and we warmly invite schools to join us and be part of this journey from the very beginning.

Enquiries are welcome and we will share more on this page soon.
