The 2.6 Challenge

Sunday 26 April 2020

With many planned fundraising events postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Jamie’s Farm sadly has a big fundraising hole to fill. But with disruptions to education and increased pressure on those young people already struggling, we want to do all we can to help.

We’ve teamed up The 2.6 Challenge, a nationwide fundraising campaign to Save the UK’s Charities, and we’re asking you to join us. By taking part you will be helping us reach those that need us the most.

What is the 2.6 Challenge?

The #TwoPointSixChallenge is a mass participation fundraising event. All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on Sunday April 26 – when the 40th London Marathon would have taken place.

It’s a great challenge for all ages and abilities – so why not get your whole household involved! You can access some fun, family-friendly ideas here to get you thinking of what activity to do.

How do I take part?

1. Choose your activity. It could be as simple as pledging to run or scoot 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, juggle for 2.6 minutes, flip a pancake 26 times in 2.6 minutes.

2. Donate. Can you give £26 (the price of the take-away coffees you haven’t bought!) or £260 (the price of a few big night outs you have missed!) Donate here.

3. On or around Sunday 26 April carry out your challenge! Use #twopointsixchallenge and tag Jamie’s Farm so we can share your pictures and videos.

4. Nominate. Get your friends and family to take part and donate. All you raise will go towards making sure we can reach the vulnerable young people that need our help the most.
