BBC Radio 4: Farming Today
Aired: 28th September 2020
BBC Radio Four: Farming Today featuring reporter Rebecca Rooney.
“I can see myself in a lot of the young people that come, and when they have no self-belief and no confidence and they just don’t really engage, I’m like, in a few years you’ll be fine” Adele (attended Jamie’s Farm aged 14, now a Jamie’s Farm Apprentice, aged 18).
Earlier this month, BBC Radio 4 reporter Rebecca Rooney visited our Bath farm as part of Farming Today, hosted by Charlotte Smith. Here, we hear from the visiting family groups which have come to the Bath farm for a break following the strains and challenges of lockdown, and from Jack and Adele, two of our apprentices working alongside the families.
Jamie Feilden, CEO, explains how Jamie’s Farm has been running respite and day visits for young people and families since July, with the aim to run our residential programme as soon as government guidelines allow.
