As the spring sun sets over The Serpentine, our 'rustic ballroom' event will get underway with a live swing band, delicious produce from Jamie's Farm (including a hog roast and vegetarian foods), cocktails, farm games and a fantastic raffle!
It will be a beautiful evening and it's all for the good cause – every penny raised will go to Jamie's Farm, enabling more young people to visit and change their life's direction.

This event is being put together by a group of friends with close personal ties to the farm. But even without those ties, we would still passionately believe in Jamie's Farm's mission. We want to raise funds for the farm, and spread the word about the great work that goes on there, so we’ve started organising events. Simple really.

Jamie's Farm works with young people at risk of social or educational exclusion who live and work on the farm for week long residential visits. The unique combination of farming activity, family life and therapy helps young people to develop self esteem, positive relationships and improve behaviour, ultimately leading to a reduced rate of exclusion.
A visit to Jamie’s Farm can help to prevent a young person from being excluded from school. The financial cost of permanently excluding a child is £300,000*, yet the emotional cost to society and the individual is so much more. The cost of a week’s visit to the farm is £600.

The Serpentine Bar and Kitchen is at the southern end of the Serpentine, within Hyde Park. It's the perfect setting for our event, with a terrace overlooking the lake, space for dancing, wood-fired ovens for our food, and an extensive cocktail bar.
